David Fong Young Cheung is a Scotland-based screenwriter and filmmaker whose work has earned multiple international awards, including Best Script at the NYLA International Film Festival and Best Film Story at the British Film Festival 2025. His screenplays, English Tears and Los Angeles to New York, have been recognised across major festivals in the UK, US, and Europe, winning top prizes for story, character, and cinematic ambition. Trained at the London College of Printing, Thames Valley College, City & Islington College, and the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), he creates character-driven narratives with emotional depth and a strong visual sensibility. His work spans both feature-length and short-form storytelling, and he continues to develop projects that blend intimate human drama with bold, international scope.
